It could be that – the moment of death
is the the most important moment of our lives.
(But then – it is too late.)
Another view is that every moment is the most important.
As I remember it, in the Tibetan Book of the Dead
it is said that the very last moment of consciousness
decides the conditions of our birth in our next life.
The conditioning around the fear of death seems to be about control.
I have met very few people who are not afraid of death.
How can an intelligent person be afraid of something they don’t know about!
I have never understood the fear of death.
I presume it is the conditioning we are given, and I didn’t get infected.
And all those reports from people who have had Near Death Experiences
who say it is wonderful there, and they can’t wait to return!
Can you imagine – looking forward to dying?
This fear must be the process of the conditioned mind.
Consider: if you had been brought up in a society
that looked forward to dying, not only no fear, joy.
There is another aspect to this subject – being in the moment.
Totally in the moment, there cannot be fear – of anything.
Everything just is as it is.
